PISO
A poem by Emmanuel T. Villamarin
Peso I found while walking down the street
I was happy indeed for it was God-sent
I dropped it in a piggy bank untouched in my room
Since then, it became a habit everyday that I come home.
Investment in a small scale business I did
With the many pesos that I have learned to save
Candies, cookies and peanuts was what I started with
Until a small sari-sari store I was able to build.
Satisfaction guaranteed was that I greatly felt
At times that out monthly salary was a bit delayed
Because I have a small business to help me through
And from the my colleagues I no longer need to borrow.
Onward it grew in all the days of my life
Lessening my hardships, pain and strife
I need not leave our country to serve the foreigners
For money is coming gradually and surely into my hands.

I'm proud to share that I have now my own sari sari store.
I invested, for me to learn more and to know its challenge I have to act.
I have to Fire and then Aim as the days come to improve and to expand later.
I invested also in mutual funds and the stock market.
I have to plant seeds more now, not later but now.
For soon the harvest will come.
Go and invest also.
Go beyond your comfort zone.
