Buy Now or Sell Now, Asia Pacific Head of Portfolio Advisory

Bloomberg TV Philippines throws a good question to the Head of Portfolio Advisory for Asia Pacific. It's a good learning, a lesson despite the political noise.

"Generally speaking, in the last 12 months some really good buying opportunities."

But how do you cut through the political noise?

Answered Peter Ryan-Kane, Head of Portfolio Advisory for Asia Pacific.

To some extent, I think it's a question of time horizon. I mean, politics has always created volatility. I suppose it's always created some uncertainty. Anybody who says this future period is certain, hasn't lived through other periods. So, whether it's Trump, whether it's Duterte, theses are natural parts of people making democratic choices about how they are represented.

The underlying economic pulse of a country, is not determined by its leadership.

The underlying economic policy of any country is determined by its trade relationships, by its competitive advantages. They are long-term. So, a country that has a natural competitive advantage will survive regardless of its leadership.

How to consider these politically uncertain times?

Is it a buying opportunity or is it time to take profit?

I think generally speaking, in the last 12 months some really good buying opportunities.

So, the market's come off quite a bit. The underlying companies are still doing quite well. So, it's probably more a buying opportunity than anything else.

Learning from the experts.

Peter Ryan-Kane, Head of Portfolio Advisory for Asia Pacific said it will. The following are the lessons I got from this interview.

"The underlying economic pulse of a country, is not determined by its leadership."
"The underlying economic policy of any country is determined by its trade relationships, by its competitive advantages. They are long-term."

From this information and learning, I am now at peace with what's going on with the Philippine economy and its leadership.

Thank you, Peter Ryan-Kane.

Keep Buying, Believe in the Philippine Economy

Believe in the Philippine Story
At the end of the day, we invest in stocks because we believe in the rise of the Philippine economy in the next 20 to 30 years. Along the way, there will always be a crisis here and there. Don't mind the noise. Just hang on. This plane will fly.
And here's another mind-boggling fact: Today, only 0.7 percent of the Philippine population are investing in the stock market. Less than one percent! So imagine what will happen to the stock market if even 10 percent of the population get in? It will go ballistic. Like a tsunami, the market will rise, lifting up the first ones who went in early (you) to the top.
Keep investing.
Keep believing.
A reminder from Bo Sanchez himself.

Simple truths about stock market investing. You have never learned before.

Statistics show, 0.7 percent only of the Philippine population invest in the stock market.

Investing in the stock market is long-term.

Philippine economy will rise.

If 10 percent of the Philippine population will invest in the stock market, the market will rise like a tsunami.

Start now.
Invest now.
Enjoy the ride.

The Emotional Cycle of Stock Market Investing

I remember a colleague of mine who started investing in the stock market, feeling excited to hear the people surrounding her, making money in the stock market. She decided to invest.

A couple of months later, seeing her stock portfolio decreasing, the feeling of fear now sits in. Then the cycle continues. Until she said, "I surrender", she sold all her stocks.

The last time we met, she never invested in the stock market after that experience.

Investing in the stock market is good. You will have full control of your money. But you need to consider this "Law of Money", "Get into something that you understand and seek advice only from competent people".

Read an article worth sharing with you from Rose Fres Fausto, about, "The Emo Cycle of Investing:

  1. Reluctance
  2. Optimism
  3. Excitement
  4. Exuberance
  5. Denial
  6. Fear
  7. Desperation
  8. Panic
  9. Capitulation
  10. Despondency
  11. Depression
  12. Apathy
  13. Hope
  14. Relief

Rose Fres Fausto explained it well in her article at Philstar.

Sharing with you lifetime principles from successful people around the world. You can apply this in your daily investment of  time as you go along investing in your financial aspect of life. To stay productive.

Detailed by HiTask.com

Day 1
"Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day." - Mark Twain

Do the most difficult thing on your to do list first thing in the morning!
Take a look at the goal you wrote down and ask yourself if what you're doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Day 2
"Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality." -Earl Nightingale

Our attitude towards others determines their attitude towards us. The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem! Change your attitude about things and you'll change your life dramatically in no time.

Find a quite place and just meditate for 5 minutes and you'll be amazed at the results.

Day 3
"Work smarter, not harder." -Carl Banks

Embrace your goals and tasks day and night and rewrite or edit them as necessary, but do not completely change them. Having your daily to do list will help you stay organized and make work easier!

Day 4
"There is no gain without pain." -Benjamin Franklin

You may be tempted to quit right before the finish line, so remind yourself how quitters aren't successful. The most successful people are those that keep going even when they want to quit.

Day 5
"Be okay with what you ultimately can't do, because there is so much you CAN do." -Sam Berns

At such a young age and with such a debilitating disease, Sam Berns, a 17 year old that suffered from Progeria couldn't have said it better. He definitely knew the secret to happiness!

Day 6
"Surroun yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher." -Oprah Winfrey

Call those people yu enjoy being around and invite them out to coffee! Join some local organizations where you can network and socialize with likeminded individuals and you'll wonder why you haven't done this earlier.

Day 7
"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiousity keeps leading us down new paths." -Walt Disney

Be proud of yourself! You've managed to get this far, which means you've taken the first step in creating a habit of productivity. Studies have shown that it takes 21 days to build a long-lasting habit, so go through this for another two weeks and it'll be like second nature to you!

Here are the things you should have accomplished by the end of the week:

  • Determine a definite noghtly goal.
  • Create a weekly stepping stone.
  • Create a daily to do list the day before, preferably.
  • Rewrite and edit your goals daily, as necessary.
  • Reflect and meditate.

Find and Invest in Your Passion, Invest in Your Compelling Future

A VIDEO worth watching. So wonderful you'll  never regret watching it. A great video on having a compelling future by Anthony Robbins.

Here are some notes:

Do not just survive but thrive in the most difficult economic environment you have.

Have the best perception of your future.

When you have a crisis, when you have no where to go, burn your boats.

When you have to make something happen that's when you find  breakthroughs.

It's not that you don't have stress but you learn how to use stress instead of stress to use us.

Crisis gives you an opportunity to revamp your life.

Have a compelling future.

Envision and believe a compelling future.

See as it is but not worse as it is and don't give up.

Make a declaration, i'm strong enough and i can find a way to make this thing happen.

Enjoy watching!

Effective Leaders Time and Money Investment It's Simple Not Obvious

Everyday is an investment. Invest your time and money smartly.
Effective leaders lead by example and must learn to manage well and invest time and money smartly.

I'm reading the book, It's Simple Not Obvious by Jim Dornan and found this article worth sharing about Time Management and Money Management or Time Investment and Money Investment.

Learn and enjoy reading.

Manage Well Your Time.
We all have the same number of hours each day to either invest or waste...to either invest with people and things that are important, or waste on things that are of less priority. You should make lists each day of what you need to accomplish, who you need to speak with, and when you plan to complete your list. Put the highest priority first and fit the others in as much as possible, even if certain lower priority issues get moved to the next day. Time management, or lack of it, can be the downfall of many leaders.

This is just another reason to continue focusing on your personal growth and development, so that your skills and disciplines in the area of time management can continually improve.

Manage Well Your Money.
For many people, no matter how much money they get, they always seem to run out. Good financial intelligence involves prioritizing what we spend and what we do with what we have.

As business owner, we must often sacrifice or delay some of the personal comforts or rewards, so that we can properly fund our venture with tools, training events, or other necessary investments. Having money for the Continuing Education Program (CEP), for example, or an important meeting or event can potentially accelerate your business and produce far greater returns than they cost. The truth more times than not is that we don't have a money issue, we have a priority issue.

The main point here is to remind us not to mismanage our money-either early on when we are learning to be a business owner or later when we have more and need to allocate it wisely.

Plan and prioritize the necessary financial needs for the future growth of your business.
When you have good profits, I suggest you pay off credit card debts first and eventually, all debts.
After paying your taxes, set aside money first for giving, second for savings/investing, and then use what is left for lifestyle.

May our learning lead us not to knowledge but may our learning will lead us to action.

Every day is an investment by Seth Godin

Great article from Seth Godin, a writer, a speaker and an agent of change. Wonderful reminder that everyday is an investment. Therefore, you should make the most of your time because you can do better.

A question worth pondering,
Will you work with and for someone who doesn't care about you?
Are you working for somebody's dream? How about working yours?

Read on...
You will regret not taking an additional minute to continue reading.
"You're not lucky to have this job, they're lucky to have you. Every day, you invest a little bit of yourself into your work, and one of the biggest choices available to you is where you'll be making that investment.

That project that you're working on, or that boss you report to... worth it?

Investing in the wrong place for a week or a month won't kill you. But spending ten years contributing to something that you don't care about, or working with someone who doesn't care about you... you can do better."

Source: SethGodin.typepad.com

You maybe thinking differently now. Take a look at it one more time and you will be thinking of your own dreams and caring about yourself... you can do better.

Everyday is an investment. Invest smartly your time. Invest smartly your treasure. Invest smartly your talent.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

How the Rich get Richer

Watch the video and learn where you can buy assets and start increasing your cash flow. Learn cash generating opportunities and how you can start.

Be open to learning and education because if you learn how to do something that produces more money for you and you actually do it, that's buying an asset.

You need to learn this Financial Education.
First, understand this financial terms:

CashFlow - money you bring in
Expenses - money you spend
Assets - something that pays you, this is according to Robert Kiyosaki
Liabilities - something that cost you

Ask this question to yourself:
1.  Am I living from paycheck to paycheck?
2.  Am I buying liabilities, spending equal or more than the money I make?
3.  Am I buying assets that make me earn more money?

Everything in life is about investment.  An investment of your time and money. Investing your time creating an asset to work for you. Investing your money to work for you not the other way around.

Where you are investing your money? Are you really investing or spending? How about your time, where are you spending most of your time? Are you open to learning? Are you creating and building an asset?

This are just some of the question you might consider.

If you find this information troubling, send your inquiries to jessecadelina@gmail.com

Consider Disparity When Investing in the Stock Market

What is Disparity?
Disparity means difference, a great difference.

When investing, you must consider disparity as the major aspect to look into before buying in the stock market. And what is this great difference all about? This is the difference between the current value and the actual value of the company we are buying.

Current value is the value we can see at the newspapers as its current share price. This is the value people are willing to buy now.
Actual value is more difficult to determine, it requires experts who study the company's assets and projected income. Actual value plays a big role when investing in the stock market as this will help us gauge when will be the exact time to sell.

Now, you will have a big problem on determining the actual value of the company than the current value. This is where mentors will play a big role when investing in the stock market. They will be of great help to you the investor.

You may be in the need now for mentors. Where will you find someone to help you determine the actual value of the company your are buying?

You can visit this site the "Truly Rich Club" for your reference and guidance on your next investment in the stock market.

Gain from Sale of Shares of Stock bought me computer

The gain from sale of my shares of stock bought me a personal Computer.

Showing you my first personal computer which I bought from the proceeds of the sale of my shares of stocks. I invested money in the stock market, buying shares of stocks of companies. I'm now applying what I learned from reading books and from my mentors.

The basic of investing is education.  Education is a lifestyle.  Life is a journey to be learned.

After reading books and doing some research about investments together with my mentors online and offline, I'm now applying what I've learned from them.

Ready... Fire... Aim....

Ready.  Get yourself ready towards your goal.  Plan your actions, make it step by step.
Fire.  Take action immediately from being ready.
Aim.  Focus again to your goal and make improvements of your actions.  Refine what you've done for better results.
